Plan view · to where it landed · scale 1:1 both ways
One dot per trusted shot, drawn where the ball landed. Each cone is the middle 50% of that club’s carry distances by the middle 80% of its aim, in degrees — so its sides converge on the tee, the way a miss does. The bar is the median, the ringed dot median miss, and the faint rays are those same two angles run back toward the tee. Scale is one-to-one both ways, so the shapes are true and the fairway is really 30 yards wide.
What is in the bag
The one thing on this page that is not derived from a shot. Written by hand in data/bag.json, because a ledger of what you hit cannot tell you what you did not — a club with no shots leaves the chart above looking finished.

Lofts are what each club left the factory as, and not one of the 13 has been checked against a gauge — the driver’s sleeve is adjustable and nobody has read its setting. A blank is a field nobody has filled in, never a guess.
Read these with care
- 6 Iron — measured across 3 sessions whose medians differ by 10.3 yd. The band in the chart is partly day-to-day drift, not shot-to-shot spread.
- 8 Iron — measured across 2 sessions whose medians differ by 14.1 yd. The band in the chart is partly day-to-day drift, not shot-to-shot spread.
- Pitching Wedge — measured across 3 sessions whose medians differ by 16.8 yd. The band in the chart is partly day-to-day drift, not shot-to-shot spread.
- Sand Wedge — measured across 2 sessions whose medians differ by 10.8 yd. The band in the chart is partly day-to-day drift, not shot-to-shot spread.
- No smash factor on 46 of 255 shots — 2026-07-02, 2026-08-02 tracked the ball but not the club. Those shots skip the smash-based mishit test entirely, so they are filtered more loosely than the rest.
- No club speed on 46 of 255 shots — 2026-07-02, 2026-08-02 tracked the ball but not the club.

The chart’s table twin. Every value the plan view draws is here in full, held-back clubs included. Offline is in yards, aim in degrees — the cone is built from the degrees, because the yards are the degrees multiplied by however far the ball went. Roll is the median of total minus carry on the same swing, not the difference of the two columns above it: the two bases are measured over different shot sets, so differencing their medians would subtract one population from another and call the answer rollout.
